Multiplay Service and Application Delivery Platform Testing

IxLoad is the industry’s most scalable solution for testing converged multiplay services and application delivery platforms. IxLoad emulates data, voice, and video subscribers and their associated protocols for ultra-high performance testing. Unique and advanced subscriber modeling capabilities create realistic scenarios to validate subscriber quality of experience (QoE). To speed test configuration and ensure optimal realism, IxLoad simulates today’s most-used Internet, video, voice, storage, security, VPN, wireless, infrastructure, and encapsulation/security protocols.

Flexible and Scalable Platform to Meet Your Needs

IxLoad is powered by Ixia physical and virtual load modules and chassis, which offer the flexibility for:

  • Massive-scale, native 10/40/100GbE testing using PerfectStorm 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE native interface load modules and XGS12 chassis.
  • Enterprise-wide 1/10/40GbE testing using PerfectStorm ONE appliances.
  • Seamless use with Ixia’s BreakingPoint application and security test application for a single, more powerful system that can validate every element of the data center.
  • High-density 1/10GbE testing with up to 80Gbps of multiplay traffic, and 20Gbps of IPsec traffic using the Xcellon-Ultra line of load modules that are specifically designed to be used with IxLoad.
  • Virtual environment testing with IxLoad/VM, which uses Ixia’s IxVM virtual chassis implementation, a software implementation of Ixia’s platform that allows virtual machines (VMs) on blade servers to act as Ixia test ports. The virtual test ports can be used independently or in conjunction with chassis based ports.

IxLoad Virtual Edition (VE)

IxLoad VE is designed to work in virtualized environments using Ixia’s unique Virtual Chassis and Virtual Load Modules implementation. The IxVM platform is a software implementation of Ixia’s hardware platform, allowing virtual machines (VMs) on generic servers to act as Ixia test ports. These virtual test ports can be used independently or in conjunction with chassis based ports. Software-based stream and protocol engines in the virtual ports provide the same traffic generation and analysis as Ixia’s hardware-based product portfolio.
